| Systems Biology and Biomarkers | InterAction Meeting Sessions, Bryn Mawr, Philadelphia, USA, October 14, 2009 chaired by Darius Dziuda (Central Connecticut State University) Abstract & Bio.... | |
This session will combine perspectives on latest trends in biomarker
discovery and systems biology. Though they are different approaches -
one starting with biological knowledge and trying to fit data and some
models of this knowledge, the other starting with data and trying to
find predictive models whose interpretation may lead to new knowledge -
they should no longer be considered contradictory. Our session theme
will discuss how linking the two approaches can create more powerful
knowledge discovery environments.
